A few of my favourite albums of 2009

Best-of, top-ten, favourite lists… whatever you want to call these year-end lists, they can be pain to come up with. People agonize, deliberate, debate, doubt themselves over their picks. They are also known to cause controversy or heated discussions whenever you see them posted. People grumble how much they hate these lists but let’s be honest, we can’t stop ourselves from looking at them because they do give a bit of an inside look at what people are thinking/feeling. And for others, it helps validate their own picks.

I enjoy looking at other people’s list because it gives me a chance to catch-up and discover bands I may have overlooked during the year.

So, of course, let me join the fray by submitting my favorite albums of 2009. I know I have overlooked a few gems but instead of deliberating too long on this exercise, I started writing down from top of mind albums that I enjoyed throughout the year.
